We are a premium Italian gelato brand rooted in a family recipe from Turin, with over 70 years of experience. From establishing a strong presence in UK foodservice, we are now making the move into retail, bringing our authentic Italian gelato to your homes.
Our new Caffè Latte gelato range, features four familiar latte flavours with an Italian gelato twist. Vanilla, Sea Salt Caramel, Pistachio and Hazelnut.
But this isn’t just a new gelato range. It’s the latest chapter in a family story that began in 1950s Turin.
The recipe behind GELARTO
The story of GELARTO begins in the 1950s, at the family trattoria Al Gatto Nero in Turin.
Ciro and Rina Grassi built their kitchen around a simple belief. Choose the purest ingredients, keep things simple and let quality speak for itself.
Their approach earned Al Gatto Nero two Michelin stars, but for the Grassi family, the pursuit of quality didn’t stop there.
In 1986, their son Luca Grassi and his wife Sonia took that same passion for quality into the world of gelato and sorbet, founding Menodiciotto.
Today, daughter Marzia is part of the family business too, continuing the tradition and overseeing the family’s herd of around 200 dairy cows.
That connection between family, farming and food is still at the heart of GELARTO today.
What makes our premium gelato different?
For us, great gelato starts long before it reaches the freezer.
Fresh milk comes from our own herd of dairy cows. Carefully selected ingredients. Pure Piemonte mountain water. Preserved at -18°C in the cold air of the Alps.
Generations of experience, high quality ingredients and nothing unnecessary.
It’s an approach that has already made us a trusted name in UK foodservice, with our gelato being enjoyed by businesses including Nando’s, Heavenly Desserts and Gusto Italian.

The new Caffe Latte range brings together four flavours designed around familiar tastes that consumers already know and love.
Vanilla Caffe Latte Gelato - A smooth, creamy vanilla gelato inspired by the familiar comfort of a classic Caffè Latte.
Sea Salt Caramel Caffe Latte Gelato - A combination of creamy gelato, rich caramel and a touch of sea salt.
Pistachio Caffe Latte Gelato - A premium pistachio gelato bringing distinctive pistachio flavour with the creamy character of our gelato.
Hazelnut Caffe Latte Gelato - A rich and nutty hazelnut combined with our creamy gelato.
Each flavour takes the everyday pleasure of a flavoured latte and translates it into premium authentic gelato to bring a little taste of Italy to your home freezer.

The move into retail marks an exciting new chapter for us.
After years of being enjoyed through UK foodservice, we are now introducing ourselves directly to consumers. A new consumer website and an autumn programme of content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and LinkedIn.
As the range rolls out, we will also be supported by paid social, retail media and brand activations, helping more gelato lovers discover what’s inside the tub and our story behind the brand.
The new Caffè Latte gelato range launches in UK retail this autumn, with further availability to be announced soon.
